Description:
Forging and executing strategic plans for internal audit functions has long been a leading practice in the profession. However, The IIA’s new Global Internal Audit Standards will mandate that chief audit executives “plan strategically” to ensure the function is sufficiently resourced and positioned to support the organization’s success. The new requirement will be a paradigm shift for many internal audit functions that are managed tactically one year at a time.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
– Explain the value of planning and leading strategically.
– Prepare for the requirements mandated by the new standards.
– Implement best practices in forging a strategic plan.
– Align internal audit strategy with the enterprise
– Describe the imperative to execute and refresh the internal audit strategic plan.
Note: CPE Credit(s) are not being offered for this session.
